Best Of Our Culture is an independent music and creative movement founded by Christopher Montemayor in Elgin, Illinois. Before the movement grew into BOOC, Christopher first made his name as Cee Dubs—an organic hip-hop artist writing and recording from lived experience, raw emotion and an unmistakable Midwest perspective. Today, Best Of Our Culture pushes beyond one artist or genre. Its sound moves freely through hip-hop, trap-soul, blues, Chicago house, juke, dancehall, dembow and experimental electronic production without losing the human stories at its core. Every record is built from real scars, real relationships and the stubborn belief that outsiders should never have to soften themselves to be heard. The BOOC King represents that evolution: crowned by survival, armored in individuality and standing for every creator who built their own throne when nobody offered them a seat.
