Promote a Release with Smart Links and the Promo Kit
Use one link for every platform, make share images and short videos in the Promo Kit, and plan your posts around release day.
Start with one link
A smart link is a single page that sends fans to whichever service they use. In the Release Planner, add your release, choose a link address and paste your platform links. Use that one link everywhere: your bio, posts and messages.
Make your visuals
Open the Promo Kit for your release to make square, story and banner images, plus a short visualizer video. Make a "coming soon" version with the date and an "out now" version for release day.
Short-form video
- Show the best part of the song in the first few seconds.
- Post more than once. Try different clips of the same song.
- Add captions so people watching with the sound off still get it.
Playlist pitching
Some services let you pitch an unreleased song to their editors through your artist account, usually before release day. Check each service's current pitching rules and deadlines. For independent playlists, be polite, personal and brief, and never pay for guaranteed streams.
A simple schedule
- Two weeks before: announce the date and share your smart link.
- Release day: post your "out now" image and video.
- One week after: share a new clip or a thank-you post.
